Thirty pieces of modern lecture chairs have been donated by the Alumni Association of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan (OYSCOHEST) for students' use.
Donating the chairs on behalf of the National President of the Alumni Association, Professor Sunday Ojewale, the Vice President, Mrs Khadijat Giwa said the donation was in appreciation of what the College had offered the members in moulding their careers.
Professor Ojewale commended the Governing Council, the Management, staff and students for their contributions in ensuring the sustenance of the legacy of high academic standard of the College. He added that the Alumni Association will continue to support the progress of their Alma mater. Receiving the chairs on behalf of the College Acting Provost, Pharmacist (Mrs) Oluyemisi Oyewo, the Head of Public Health Nursing Department, Mrs Omolara Fatunmbi, who is also an alumnus of the College, thanked the Alumni Association for the donation.
She sought for more support in the area of infrastructural facilities for the College. In her reaction, the Acting Provost, Pharmacist (Mrs) Oluyemisi Oyewo expressed her appreciation to the Alumni Association, led by Professor Sunday Ojewale, adding that the College is looking forward to more support and collaboration with the Alumni Association, especially in the area of infrastructural development. The donation ceremony was witnessed by the Acting College Librarian, Mr Kayode Akinsoji and the Head of Community Health Department, Mrs Temitope Awotunde, who is also an Alumnus of the College and other members of the Association who are members of staff of the College.
