Engr. Ayokunmi Olatunde Ojerinde is a distinguished engineering professional with a remarkable track record in the field of mechanical and industrial engineering. Born on February 18, 1968, in Ibadan, and hailing from Ibadan Largelu Local Government in Oyo State, he embodies a deep commitment to excellence and expertise in his chosen field.
His educational journey commenced at St. Peter's Primary School, Aremo, Ibadan, where he obtained his primary education from 1973 to 1979. He continued his academic pursuit at Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan, from 1979 to 1984, establishing a strong foundation for his future endeavors. His passion for engineering led him to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1992. Demonstrating a thirst for knowledge and professional growth, Engr. Ojerinde further enriched his education by obtaining an M.Sc. in Industrial and Production Engineering from the University of Ibadan in 2015.

Kicking off his career journey, Engr. Ojerinde embarked on a Graduate-in-Training program at the carlton Engineering Limited Port Harcourt River State from 1992 to 1993. This early exposure allowed him to develop foundational skills and insights into the world of engineering.
Progressing in his career, he assumed roles as Mechanical Engineer I/Mechanical Engineer II at the Ministry of Works and Transport, Eleyele, Ibadan, from 1996 to 2001, showcasing his technical prowess and dedication to the field.

His role as Works Manager at the Ministry of Works and Transport, Eleyele, Ibadan, from January to May 2002, further highlighted his leadership abilities and project management expertise. Engr. Ojerinde's contributions extended to the Project Monitoring department office of the Executive Governor Secretariat Ibadan, where he served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer from June to October 2002, leaving a tangible impact on water infrastructure.
A pivotal phase of his career saw Engr. Ojerinde as District Manager at the Oyo State Water Corporation Saki district, Saki where he supervised for four (4) water schemes (Saki, Igboho, Ago Amodu and Kisi).He also served as board member in Oyo State Water Corporation board from 2002 to 2006. His proficiency in managing complex engineering projects and fostering efficient operations became evident during this period. His dedication to education was demonstrated through his role as Deputy Director at the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, secretariat, Ibadan from 2006 to 2015.

Currently serving as the Director of Works at the same institution since 2015, Engr. Ojerinde continues to contribute significantly to the enhancement of infrastructure and facilities. His commitment to staying at the forefront of industry knowledge is evidenced by his active participation in numerous seminars and conferences, where he remains updated with the latest advancements and best practices in the field of engineering.
